Farm Overview

Building Architecture

Our indoor discus hatchery spans approximately 2,000 square meter and houses around 1,000 water tanks.

Water Storage

Water preservation is crucial for raising discus. At our farm, we change 90 percent of the water twice daily to stimulate the growth of our discus, We have both fiber and concrete water tanks for these water storage.

Farm Inner View

To maximize cleanliness and minimize manpower, our drainage channels and plumbing system are carefully designed for systematic daily water changes. Each tank is labelled to maintain records of our discus.

Breeding Section

Discus fish are unique in that they rarely leave their current partner for another. ‘Married couples’ are placed in the breeding area to begin the spawning process.

Quarantine House

To ensure our discus remain healthy, any new discus imported to our farm or discus being exported are isolated in a separate quarantine section for at least 14 days. Sick discus are detained for further quarantine. We ensure that only healthy discus to be shipped to our customers.

Packing Area

At IDF, we prioritize the health and safety of our discus fish during transit. Each discus is carefully placed in a two-layer, tower-shaped plastic bag filled with oxygen and could be kept for at least 60 hours. We pack these bags in Styrofoam boxes and use aqua conditioner and tranquilizer in the water to maintain its quality and minimize fish stress. Our meticulous packing process ensures that every discus arrives alive and healthy at its destination.
